I own a Dyson V8 total clean, and so it lacks some of the little features that current hoovers might have. This addon gives it one - the ability to see where the dust and dirt is hiding. It's a nice powerful light that doesn't seem to affect the attachment on it. The light is very wide, so you can see where the floor needs cleaning. It struggles a bit right in front of the attachment, but I suppose at that point the area is getting cleaned already!
I don't know how I managed without this addon - I love it.
